On behalf of the University of Amsterdam, Redactie & Co is URGENTLY looking for a native English web editor.
Job description
The web editor holds editorial responsibility for the English sites of the university. Is responsible for the (coordination of the) translation of Dutch news articles for the English sites. Edits existing English texts written by non-native speakers. He or she assists in the development and improvement of information and facilities on the sites for foreign students and staff. Works closely together with the UvA web team on various web-based communication projects.
Required
Candidates should have an academic degree and have English (preferably British) as a first language. They should be experienced in translating Dutch into English and have an affinity with the academic community. The ideal web editor has experience with online communication systems, is well organised, efficient and able to function easily within a Dutch language working environment.
Offered
Offered is a fulltime job (32 - 38 hours) on a temp basis for a period of six months, possibly longer.
