He or she will manage all aspects of the globally distributed internal publications, specifically staff magazines and websites. Is responsible for budgets and distribution. Takes a clear stand in editorial issues, and is in charge of the overall management of the web structure and content. Actively looks for creative new ways to enhance these communication tools. The publisher also contributes to the development of brochures and other communications, supportive to a mix of several international parties and operating units. Coordinates external agencies, and provides hands-on contributions in regard to essential editorials. Candidates should have strong internal communications skills, including an up-to-date knowledge of channels, tools and trends. Education to degree level, and the ability to rapidly develop a thorough understanding of the companies complex technological activities and issues.
He or she is a strong team player, able to develop and maintain wide networks. Has flexibility, initiative and organizational skills and can respond to a variety of requests without compromising deadlines. Has the ability to recognise and develop pertinent stories and is able to define and maintain the function of each publication within the total communications mix. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence others, both internally and externally. Candidates also need strong IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready. A knowledge of content management systems is a strong advantage.
